Cook has been the head coach of the Hawks since Fall 2018. He has a 70-35-22 overall record at EVC. The Hawks have reached the CCCAA Playoffs in each of the last four seasons (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) advancing to the State Championships at Mt. SAC in 2023. The Hawks reached State by winning on back-to-back penalty kicks over fifth-seeded De Anza and ninth-seeded Merced. In 2024 they were ranked No. 1 in the State and nation during the regular season and entered the playoffs as the top-seed.
A native of Manchester, England, Coach Cook has over 20 years of coaching experience locally in the Bay Area, having held various leadership roles in academic institutions, soccer clubs, and representative programs. Coach Cook was named San Jose Mecury News “Coach of the Year” in 2010. Coach Cook has been influential in developing several current professional and collegiate Division I soccer players, many of whom he still has a very close relationship with.
Recent Hawk graduates have continued playing at schools such as CSU Bakersfield, Holy Names University, San Jose State University, Dominican University, Cal State Stanislaus and Simpson University.
