Bio

Dr. Sean Stewart came to EVC in August 2024 after previously serving as the Dean of Humanities, English, and Social Sciences at Prince George's Community College in Largo, MD in 2024. He has also served as Dean of Language, Communication, and Academic Success at Ohlone College (2022-23) and Professor of Speech, Faculty Senate President, and Department Chair at Lone Star College-University Park in Houston, TX (2013-22). In his 13 years in higher education, Dr. Stewart champions himself as an equity-focused leader who strives to remove barriers for marginalized students so higher education is accessible to all. 

Dr. Stewart holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a specialization in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from the University of Nebraska. He also earned a Master's in Communication from West Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's in Communication Studies from The University of Texas. In his leisure time, he enjoys weightlifting, avidly following Texas Longhorns sports, and exploring beach destinations worldwide.
