Bio

Hernandez (aka "Coach Fern") started coaching with the Evergreen Women’s program in 2009 and has helped coach the program to 14 playoff appearances and four conference titles.

Coach Hernandez has spent the last decade-plus coaching at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. Hernandez served as coach of the Gilroy High School girls varsity soccer team from 2005 to 2012, winning seven consecutive league titles.

Coach Hernandez played semi-professionally in the SFSFL Premier Division, the United Premier Soccer League, and the National Soccer League.

Coach Fern received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Human Performance Analysis and a minor in Coaching.

Born and raised in Gilroy, California, coach Hernandez resides in Morgan Hill, California, with his wife Amanda and two children, Avery and Ezekiel.
